Quem é Elisa Lucinda? Brazil’s Pop Culture Poet
Abstract
Rhonda Collier holds a PhD in comparative literature from Vanderbilt University. She is an associate professor of English at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. She has published and presented on Afro-Brazilian women’s poetry, Afro-Cuban Women’s poetry, African-American women’s poetry, Global Hip Hop, Pearl Cleage and Zora Neale Hurston. As a former Fulbright scholar (Brazil) and study abroad director, she lived in Brazil and Uruguay for several years. She brings that knowledge to her teaching and research on social justice, service-learning and contemporary literature courses.
