Abstract

Monique-Adelle Callahan, author of Between the Lines: Literary Trans­nationalism and African American Poetics (Oxford UP, 2011) is assistant professor of English and International Studies at Emmanuel College. She earned her PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University. Her research interests include the relationship between literature, especially poetry, and our understanding of global citizenship.
